Summary: All it takes is one bad day. That's what we've seen time and time again with these killers. In Jack Magnus' case, someone really should have told him that winners don't do drugs.

History: Former businessman Jack Magnus' downward spiral began when his best friend Mike died of a drug overdose after being left for dead, followed by him getting drug addicted himself, losing his job, getting his arm infected, and losing his home to a thankless security guard job. Then a bunch of hoodlums injected him with a lethal combination of hallucinogenic drugs. But that didn't kill him. Rather, it just made him angrier. Now plagued by hallucinations and delusions of violence, Jack stalks his corner of the San Fernando Valley, killing all he comes across with his trusty jackhammer.

Notable Kills: Anytime the jackhammer comes into play.

Final Fate: After his jackhammer comes unplugged (go figure), Jack is knocked off the building he's currently on by the weapon's blunt end. But after an illusionary Mike yells at him, Jack seems to disappear, implying that he's not quite dead...

Powers/Abilities: Fueled by drugs and almost always wielding a light jackhammer.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 3-A jackhammer is awesome, but rather impractical for most murders. You have to lug that thing around, and above all, people can mostly see you coming a mile away. That didn't stop Jack from accruing a rather nice body count, though.

Trivia: -This film's original title was simply "Jackhammer".

-This film was directed by Joe Castro, who was also known for doing the effects (for what they were worth) for the ultra-low budget horror comedy "Terror Toons".
